If you are looking to dig deeper into the wine world of the renowned red wines of Valpolicella, this is your tour!
Throughout 5 days, you will be hosted in a stunning art hotel, one of a kind in Northern Italy; you’ll visit a spectacular winery carved in the rocks; you’ll meet iconic Amarone della Valpolicella producers; you’ll taste wines no longer on sale; you’ll attend a cooking class in a typical restaurant; you’ll have a rare horizontal tasting of the precious Recioto della Valpolicella wine, very difficult to find outside Verona…
…and many more!
This tour has been thought to helping you to appreciate the originality of its wines, made according ancient techniques (albeit with a modern approach) and to show to you the beauty of the region. Valpolicella is located in a very strategic position, close to Verona city and not far from Lake of Garda, and has been inhabited since the prehistoric times: many important discoveries have been done about its early inhabitants and even today you can see some interesting finds scattered in the countryside. Since Roman times - maybe even before - it was a wine region, and all the grapes of its red wines are autochthonous.
This tour represents a unique opportunity

- to visit some amazing wineries, renowned in all over the world
- to experience the typical “Valpolicella lifestyle”… in a luxury way

Biblos Art Hotel Villa Amistà ☆☆☆☆☆L
In the 15th century architect Michele Sanmicheli started from the ruins of a Roman 'casa forte' to design the central part of the villa in Venetian style. The current building, a work of architect Ignazio Pellegrini, dates back to the 18th century. Inside the villa paintings and original finds of both periods can be admired after careful renovations.
Villa Amistà is a combination of historic and contemporary pieces of furniture, resulting from the inventiveness of the well-know designer Alessandro Mendini, and with several artworks by world-famous artists, that have made the villa areal museum of contemporary art and design.
The originality of Byblos Art Hotel interior design is the result of the inventiveness of Alessandro Mendini, the architect and designer, who has merged in contemporary elements in the classic Villa Amistà.
Bright colors and plastic shapes are combined with paintings and marble elements in the 17th century rooms to create a unique and exclusive project: a permanent exhibition of some of the world-best artists and designers, such as Ron Arad, Philippe Starck, Marcel Wanders, Ettore Sottsass, Eero Saarinen, Eero Aarnio and many more.
The project Byblos Casa by Mendini is to be inspired by the same philosophy: furniture and style objectsrepresenting a brilliant “Revival” style, starting from the famous “Proust’s armchair”. Classicism and modernity are combined to create an atmosphere that is rich of memory and remembrances, yet blinking at the future.
Byblos Casa connects the contemporary style of Byblos fashion label, which means colors, glamour printsand an innovative use of fabrics patchworks, together with the creative skills of atelier Mendini, which also includes the contribute of other important designers like Anna Gili, Bruno Gregori, Margarini-Morra, Beatriz Millar.
From Verona to the World:
A journey into Contemporary Modern Art
Conceived like a permanent exhibition of contemporary art, Byblos Art hotel has several works of world-famous artists. Careful refurbishments, in terms of architecture and paintings, together with the cooperation with the famous architect and designer Alessandro Mendini, as well as the meticulous choice of furniture items and artworks, have all transformed this venetian villa into a real museum of contemporary art and design.
